ASCENT TO THE ADOLFO CALLE (+4200 masl) AND STEPANEK (+4100 masl) HILLS
SLEEPING IN A MOUNTAIN REFUGE
Would you like to climb these Vallecitos classics while sleeping in the comfort of a refuge?
An ideal ascent to continue adding experiences in high altitude mountaineering and to get to know one of the most beautiful areas of the Argentinean mountain range. Vallecitos is located 182 kilometers from the city of Mendoza, near the Potrerillos reservoir. The Cordón del Plata Provincial Park is a school zone, ideal for those seeking to gain experience at high altitude.
In this 4 days and 3 nights trip we will attempt to climb the Adolfo Calle (4200 masl) and Stepanek (4100 masl) mountains. We will rest in a mountain refuge at over 2800 masl and we will make acclimatization treks to lower altitude mountains to acclimatize to the altitude. When we reach the summit, a great reward will be waiting for us: the imposing view of the valley up to the cirque that closes it, composed by the 5000 meters high mountains of the Cordón del Plata.
All this, accompanied by homemade food, nutritious, healthy and adapted to the needs of each participant, accompanied by a team of professional guides who will provide the necessary assistance and safety at all times.

Your itinerary for the adventure
Although we make every effort to adhere to the itinerary described below, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control, including weather and terrain conditions.
RECEIPT AND INSPECTION OF EQUIPMENT
We will meet at 18:00hs in the area of shelters in Vallecitos. We will spend the night in a mountain refuge at 2800 meters above sea level, to acclimatize to the altitude.
ACCLIMATIZATION TREKKING
We will make a trekking that connects the summit of Andresito (3100 masl), Arenales (3400 masl) and Lomas Blancas (3850 masl) to continue acclimatizing to the altitude.
SUMMIT ATTEMPT
The next day, we will wake up very early to have breakfast and prepare the backpacks with the minimum and indispensable to attempt the summit. It is an intense day to attempt the summit of Cerro Adolfo Calle (4200 m.a.s.l.) and Stepanek (4100 m.a.s.l.).
DESCENT AND CLOSING
We will close the activity during breakfast and end the outing.
