Would you like to spend the night in a mountain hut, taking your first steps in the world of high altitude trekking?
An experience to enjoy and connect with the mountain sleeping in the comfort of one of the shelters in Vallecitos, making an ascent to more than 3800 meters above sea level.
Cordón del Plata Provincial Park is located 80 km from Mendoza City, Argentina, near the Potrerillos reservoir.
There are numerous high altitude trekking and mountaineering circuits in the area, with unmissable views of the immense turquoise water mirror of the Potrerillos reservoir.
In this trip, we will spend 2 days trekking, sleeping 1 night in a mountain refuge , exploring the surrounding hills and going into the valley to visit the high altitude camps, which are part of the approach to access the objectives of more than 5000 meters above sea level of the Cordón del Plata.
All this, accompanied by homemade food, nutritious, healthy and adapted to the needs of each participant, accompanied by a team of professional guides who will provide the necessary assistance and safety at all times.

Your itinerary for the adventure
Although we make every effort to adhere to the itinerary described below, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond our control, including weather and terrain conditions.
SHELTER | VEGUITAS CAMP
Reception in the vallecitos area. We get settled in the refuge to then trek to the Veguitas camps, intermediate camping areas of approximation to access the major objectives that crown the valley. In the afternoon we return to the refuge to spend the night.
LA CADENITA : LOMAS BLANCAS HILL
The second day we will discover the circuit of La Cadenita, a trekking that connects the summit of Andresito (3100 masl), Arenales (3400 masl) and Lomas Blancas (3850 masl). Return to the refuge, end of the service.

The key to your comfort during active travel is to wear layers (see Layering Clothing Basics). For maximum comfort at minimum weight, you need versatile layers that combine insulation, ventilation and weather protection.
Therefore, we created this checklist to help you choose your gear and bring only what you need. Weather and other conditions on the ground will dictate what clothing and equipment you will need to wear each day.

Hicimos con mi pareja esta hermosa experiencia para iniciarnos en el montañismo sin tener conocimientos previos y la recomendamos plenamente. Nuestra guía Dani se destacó por su paciencia, atención y generosidad. Es sumamente didáctica para explicar y prolija para trabajar. Hermosa experiencia! Fuimos con nuestras hijas de 8 y 13 años. El lugar es bellísimo y lleno de opciones con distintos niveles de dificultad. Ale y Dani tuvieron la paciencia y el ritmo necesarios para viajar con niños. Además tienen un gran conocimiento sobre montañismo. Aprendimos mucho! Pero más allá de estas virtudes, si tuviera que recomendarlos por algo, lo haría porque son de esas personas que hacen su trabajo con amor y eso se notó en cada detalle (puntualidad, explicaciones técnicas, alimentación durante los dos días, calidez). Súper agradecidos!!!!
